Senior Wealth Advisor

Garth has worked in the investment business for the past 32 years. Before that he worked at a major Canadian Bank for 2 years. Prior to that, he received his Honours Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto, majoring in Commerce and Economics (1979).

Garth began his career at McLeod Young Weir (ScotiaMcLeod) in 1981 in the London, Ontario office as a financial advisor and quickly became the Assistant Manager. In 1986, he transferred to the Mississauga office where he was the manager for 2 years before moving to downtown Toronto to become the assistant manager of Head Office and quickly became the Head Office Manager at the age of 34. In 1993 he left ScotiaMcLeod to pursue his interest in managing the Private Client business of one of the oldest independent brokerage firms in Canada.

He helped grow that business before a large foreign bank took over the company. Garth remained with this foreign bank, holding a senior management position at their brokerage arm before returning to ScotiaMcLeod in 2006. No longer involved in management, Garth spends 100% of his time working with clients on their investment portfolio. Contact Garth Today...
